Review on 🔌 U.S. Solid Standard Motorized Valve by Rick Kreutzer

I originally bought another three pipe model that tested well but broke down on the second day of use. (Easy return to US Solid/Revain) I decided to replace it with this valve as the other one wouldn't "open" and wasted a lot of water. This valve is mainly opened electrically, but closed mechanically. If this fails, it should "deny" closing, which is more useful for my use case. To me it acts as a remote purge dump valve for the evaporative cooler. So far so good, I hooked it up to a timer that resets the cool box receiver contents after 6 hours of cool box use. I love these models that US Solid sells that run on a variety of power sources. This uses AC or DC power and 9 to 24 volts. In order not to add additional power sources I simply connected the power supply to operate the valve from the sprinkler timer transformer. If my valve fails again I will come back to this review but for now 5 stars! After about a month with no problems I am planning to buy more of their valves for some other projects. UPDATE: June 2020, the valve still works with no problems. UPDATE: May 2021, valve still works with no issues.
