Review on Enhanced Rear Upper ๐Ÿ”ง Arm for Mazda3/Focus - SPC 67420 by John Destruction

No more job! - Shocks, Struts and Suspension

My Mazda 3 rolled with -2.4 degrees of rear camber. Needless to say, tires wear out quickly on the inside. With these hands it is easy to reduce. A word of warning if you do them yourself, at least on an early Mazda 3 (2005 in my case). The fuel tank vent valve takes up the space required to loosen the upper arm bolt. It attaches to the top of the subframe with 1 x 10mm bolt. Said bolt is very difficult to reach and mine is broken. Also, the hoses/cables on the valve are very annoying when they have to be removed. But the valve comes out. I devised a zipper solution to keep it firmly in place as there is no way to fix a broken bolt. Unless you want to do without the entire subframe. Feels and looks like a good solid piece but there are some inconveniences. For reasons of space, the adjusting nut is difficult to access on the vehicle. It's also huge at 32mm. Since the part was new, it is easy to turn with pliers, but this can become very difficult after years of rusting. I sealed everything. The lock nut is approximately 20mm and is tightened with a medium adjustable wrench. The small pinch bolt on the bottom has a hex head and a 1/2" nut. Both are quite difficult to tighten due to space. It's probably possible to adjust this lever and then disconnect and unscrew it from the trailing arm to tighten everything up.
