I wish the central frame was in the middle of the lamp, lengthwise, so that you could really edge it right up to the ceiling an make it a true flushmount. Some people have installed it upside down to get that effect, but I don't like how the frame casts a shadow and is visible. It is easy to install, but for just a shade and a few pieces of hardware it should cost about half.Someone should look at how IKEA makes lampshades that snap onto the frame and velcro together. This lets them flatpack it which makes it cheaper to ship. This product came in an enormous box with the shade assembled, I'm guessing that's the reason for the cost. Alternatively, offer a DIY project with just the hardware and frame for a few bucks and let the customer find their own shade.
