Amazing conversion kit for old flush mounted ceiling light. Has everything you need to install.

I am very happy with this conversion kit. Provides everything you need. I needed to change the light bulb in my room, which had the old style flush mounted ceiling light. I had a hard time unscrewing the knob on the old flush mount light fixture because it was too tight. It is also glass, and if not careful when changing, it could fall on your head. When I was finally able to loosen the knob (using a wrench) to remove the glass covering, I knew it was time to get rid of this old, outdated flush

Pros
  • I love the shade and that it has a diffuser. The connection pole was a little short.
Cons
  • Installation can be tricky for those without electrical experience, and may require the assistance of a professional electrician

Adaptable for different fixtures

My fixture was a little different, but with the provided hardware I could interchange the pieces and still make it work. Very easy to figure out and it looks great. Instant update for the room.

  • The textured oatmeal finish can easily show dirt or dust, requiring frequent cleaning to maintain its appearance

Good but expensive for what it is

I wish the central frame was in the middle of the lamp, lengthwise, so that you could really edge it right up to the ceiling an make it a true flushmount. Some people have installed it upside down to get that effect, but I don't like how the frame casts a shadow and is visible. It is easy to install, but for just a shade and a few pieces of hardware it should cost about half.Someone should look at how IKEA makes lampshades that snap onto the frame and velcro together. This lets them flatpack it
