Multiple issues with this product. A lot of people commented that this thing is "good" but it slips or comes off and then the same people just suffer from using it. First, Bell advertises this product as "toolless"; The mounting bolt that comes with the kit has a handle that allows it to be tightened around the handlebars. Well that's a PROBLEM, anything that needs to be attached to anything else, especially something that can hold up to 20 ounces of drink, NEEDS A SCREW HEAD or other "tool head" to tighten it properly, and why are they always too loose. as reported. Then the next thing that will happen (at least on my 26mm bars (which should fit snugly) is that the washer (the piece of rubber that goes around the bar) is too flimsy and skimpy. But I've figured out why). Bell supplies that skinny gasket, but I'll get to that in a bit, so I had to make a thick enough gasket out of old rubber tubing, and that would do the trick, but then you start to really tighten the thumb knob on the bolt, and on In the end, you'll need needle-nosed pliers to tighten it effectively enough by first chewing on that stupid "tool-less" finger-grip screw head, so start tightening the clamp hard enough that it doesn't dangle or slip off, and suddenly BOOM, the aluminum hinge flexes and the thing falls to the floor, the problem is that the aluminum mount is basically as soft as cheese if you install the right gasket and everything moves to RIGHT to tighten. and then you suddenly understand why they give a meager little useless shim in the first place, because if you actually pull it all the way down, the strut will certainly bend. stuff the thing in a vise and tighten the connection; Replace the dumb pan head machine screw with the correct machine screw ---- all of this after making a better gasket and now this thing is tight and properly fitted and won't come loose. It just shouldn't be that difficult, and why only two stars. I like the holder, it's not too expensive and would give 5 stars (since I got it to work). But since I did half the manufacturing to make it work I have to get an extra 3 stars for the new parts I had to supply.
