Review on Narrator by James Small

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tool in case your eyes aren’t working quite right

I love that it can read aloud any text you provide to it, even if it's not written out very well or has errors. It is also able to recognize speech patterns which makes reading through documents quick & easy. There are some things I dislike about Narrator, like having to pause every time there is an error, but most of those issues have been addressed with updates since I first used this software back when Windows 7 was new! The biggest thing I hate about Narrator is how slow it sometimes runs compared to other programs (especially Chrome). This program isn't perfect, but it does work great for what we use it for. We're using Narrator mainly as our screen reader/reader app. Sometimes we just need someone else to be reading something instead of us holding up our hands while typing at full speed.

Pros
  • Being fully accessible
  • Ability add files into folders by dragging them onto their appropriate folder icon.
  • Can play audio in background without slowing down my computer experience too much so far; haven’t had problems doing tasks requiring sound playing simultaneously yet anyway,
  • Works quickly enough doesn´' take long before responding after inputing commands via keyboard shortcuts+ keystrokes)
  • Has good accessibility features available right from within its interface
Cons
  • Not the best
