Not Compatible: Terminals

I've been using them for a few weeks now. Bullets are NOT all the same size between red, blue and yellow sizes. This COULD be the industry standard for bullets - ALTHOUGH I have used spade connectors where all spade connectors and receptacles are the same size. So if you want to connect a yellow plug to a RED socket, you can do that - that's not true for these barrel connectors PROBLEM: The holes you insert the wire into are different sizes within the same size - for example a RED plug and a RED socket. This causes a problem during installation. This means if you try to connect a red plug to a yellow socket, you will find that the red ball is smaller than the yellow one. Summary: If you use "one" size, say red, do you expect the end you insert the stripped wire into to be the same between male and female red connectors? Not correct. I only noticed this after trying to connect the cable to both ends - one end "female" and the other end "male" when I realized I couldn't connect one of the two to the same cable. When I looked at the end of the connector I found that the hole diameter was smaller. So I decided to compare blue and yellow as well - YES, the size varies depending on whether it's a man or a woman. You expect the size to vary between colors but not within the same color, which is why the design makes the terminals hit and miss. For this reason they get 1 star. Can you use them, yes, but you may encounter the same problems. Here is my rating based on the materials used and the design. I like the idea of a shrink tube on the terminal, but in general it's not a good idea in practice and that's why I say this. .This is a general view of the concept of this style of connector1. When crimping a cable lug with conventional crimping pliers, the heat-shrink tubing can break2. The heat shrink tubing can slip back exposing the terminal which depending on usage and installation can cause a short circuit requiring you to either remove the terminal and try again or use a different piece of heat shrink tubing - in which case the labor cost will be cheaper. and materials for using a different connector design and a separate heat shrink tubing3. Sometimes it's difficult to get a good crimp even when you've used the right size wire. A tighter crimp may cut the heat shrink tubing.4. Bullets don't always grip tightly when nested. I believe a nylon coating and then using heat shrink tubing might be a better choice as you are less likely to break through the protective coating. In my case, since I'm making all new wiring harnesses, I'll switch to a different style when it might mean I have to replace all the ones already installed - not happy with that idea. There are other designs for connectors - my review is based on comparing a ball with a vane and heat shrink with the use of nylon and a separate heat shrink.
