My 5 year old son has new dreams of riding a balance bike down the half pipe at our local skate park. If he stays that brave and passionate about outdoor activities, I will proudly do my best to give him the tools and support to learn and try different things. He goes to work fearlessly, we love it! Big kids give the little man insane respect and he loves to watch them to see what he can do to improve. But applying new ideas or skills becomes a lot harder when your glowing Carter sneakers are falling apart before your eyes after a few hours of being a tough guy. No big deal, my mom found these sneakers the same evening and bought them a size up. He was excited when he saw her and he loves her. They are just like the shoes that all the big kids wear there. They are strong enough to withstand anything a 5 year old wants to do outside. I find it easy to clean them with a magic eraser or an oxy cleaner when they get very dirty. When he outgrows them I will definitely buy him another pair! You can't really beat the price - especially since it's been a long time since I've had all these reasons to believe that a pair of shoes isn't completely destroyed before going into a different size. Everyone is happy with this choice.
