Review on Smartphone HUAWEI P20 Lite 4/64 GB, black by Wan Mohd Taufik (Wan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

After grieving over the death of my Xiaomi Mi5, having traveled to different SCs for about a week to finally find out the reasons for his death, I nevertheless decided that I needed a replacement phone. I began to select according to a number of criteria: a) the presence of NFC; b) the presence of a fingerprint scanner (this is my personal irrational quirk. I know that most modern phones have it); c) a decent camera; d) performance; e) screen; e) budget up to 20 thousand. In general, at first I took a closer look at Xiaomi A1, as I had the opportunity to get to know him better - I bought it as a gift for my sister for her birthday, and until it came, the phone humbly waited in the wings in my nightstand. The impressions were the most pleasant. The only disappointment was the lack of NFC. Unfortunately, for me personally, this was a big minus, which is why I continued to search. Then I got hooked on Huawei. Initially I wanted to take Honor 9 Lite. And then I saw an advertisement for new P20 models on their website. Became interesting. So interesting that after some deliberation, I ordered the P20 Lite on the day the sales started. It also came with a branded powerbank and a tripod. Also, I was on budget. Nice. The verdict is this: if you are looking for a phone for the Internet, social networks and other things, do not play heavy games, want pictures that are not excellent, but of good quality, and are also ready to sometimes carry a powerbank (just in case) of a small capacity with you, then this phone is for you. I don't play games on my phone. Generally. Therefore, I am not much offended, for example, by the non-top processor, but I am pleased with fashionable chips in the form of face recognition. As for the processor, its power is enough to meet my requirements. And I need to be in touch, spend time on the Internet, be able to take photos and read books without discomfort. The price is proportional to the quality, especially if you need a phone for the same features as me. I will be glad if my review helps someone.

Pros
  • So, I have been using the P20 Lite for about a week now and I can say that I am satisfied. It satisfies all the criteria that I presented to my new phone (you can see them in the comments to the review). But, probably, it is still too early to single out specific advantages. little time has passed since the acquisition. However, I will highlight a few: - the presence of NFC; - a wonderful fingerprint scanner. Reads in a split second, seriously. Very sensitive; - the presence of all sorts of funny features like unlocking by face scan, "smart" notifications that are hidden if the phone does not recognize the owner, etc. It just so happens that I'm a fan of these things. Not because I'm afraid that someone on the left will read my messages or use the phone. I'm interested in these technologies. It's just nice to have them. Given that the cost of the phone is up to 20 thousand. - excellent front camera. Although I'm not a fan of selfies, the camera was satisfied. I read that some people don't like it. I think it just needs to be adjusted. And so I liked everything. - screen. Juicy, bright, pleasing to the eye. It is convenient to read books from it. I am not mature enough to buy an e-book, so I read from my phone. No discomfort while reading. At first, I was confused by the 5.84” diagonal. I reconciled that now I will walk with a shovel. Reality did not match expectations. As it turned out, the phone is not very big, but long. Compact is a good word to describe the P20 Lite. - OS ate allows you to hide the "edge". Caring for those who are not satisfied with it. Not bad. And, well, miniature notification icons are displayed on it and do not take up extra space on the screen viewing area. - speed. When surfing in social networks and on the Internet, I did not experience any inconvenience, as in normal everyday use - I set an alarm clock, called, wrote SMS, etc. Everything is smooth, fast and pleasant.
Cons
  • Again, I doubt that I can review everything now, because. I haven't been using my phone for very long. - Battery capacity. She is small. You can set up apps in the background and listen to the smart OS tell you about apps that are consuming a lot of power, but the effect of all this is not so good. The battery capacity will remain the same. It is also noteworthy that when ordering from the official website, the manufacturer seems to compensate for the small capacity of the battery with a powerbank as a gift. - camera. The camera here is NOT bad, but satisfactory. I have nothing against it, but in my humble opinion, it is slightly worse than the Xiaomi A1. True, in the P20 Lite I like the color reproduction more. I, in principle, did not expect a top-end camera from this phone. If you want to shoot cool, better get a camera. Yes, you can take good pictures with this phone, but you have to try. For example, I have not yet matured to the camera, as well as to the e-book, so I prefer to push the camera settings on the phone and correct the curvature of the hands :^) - design. He's not original. P20 looks like five plus, but there is no uniqueness in it. This is not a drawback as such, because the phone is pleasant to the touch, and it is a pleasure to hold it in your hands. However, whatever one may say, there is a clear resemblance to the latest Iphone X. - as for lags and freezes . There was the only moment with the network, but I feel that my operator is to blame, not the phone. I switched from Amazon to Tele2 and at some point the phone refused to look for a mobile network. I waited, rebooted, everything passed and now it works fine. - slippery infection. I still haven't removed the back film because I'm afraid. I suddenly scratch. Suddenly it slips out of your hands. It would be better if a transparent case was included instead of headphones.
