I ordered these headphones to minimize office noise and used them to connect to my desktop computer system. The noise-cancelling worked fairly well for the first week, and the office chatter around me was reduced by about 50 percent. In the second week of use, I heard a click when turning on the noise canceling, but it seemed to me that the noise didn't go away, but rather increased a little. The design of the headphones themselves and the cables could use some improvement. I've noticed a few other reviews that indicated that they don't fit some users' ear canals very well. I have the same problem. My $10 Panasonic earbuds fit well, but the Quietcomfort 20 earbuds didn't fit any of the three sizes of earbuds that came with them. have no strain relief. The wires coming out of the headphones have strain relief, and the wires going in and out of the noise-cancelling on/off box have strain relief, but not the areas in and out of the volume control area. I probably wouldn't think twice about it, but the reason my old non-noise-cancelling Bose headphones needed replacing was because the strain reliefs didn't come out of the earbuds. Why not put them in every place where cables tuck into a piece of plastic on a $249.99 product? After some use, I also didn't like that the USB charging cable is only about 12.5 inches long. I have a USB port on the side of my computer monitor. The cable was barely long enough to reach the charging port on the on/off box. This cable is too short for those who want to plug the adapter into an outlet or CPU and then run the cable to a nearby desk without a dangling power box. Even adding 6-8 inches of cable would help. Speaking of cable length, another annoyance is that only about 3-4 inches of wire comes out of the in/out block connector. Unless you have an ideal scenario, the weight of the in/out block is most likely hanging from a fork instead of resting on the table top. This can easily be remedied by adding another 4-6 inches of wire or by moving the box up the wire another 4-6 inches. The 3-4 inch cord and plug aren't very strong, so I doubt the cord and plug will last long after being hung in different positions. I ended up returning my headphones because of this issue with the noise canceling not working properly and some minor design issues. I understand that flaws can occur with any brand, but design issues could have easily been identified by anyone who tested the product in various scenarios over a period of time. For β¬249.99 I not only want to get good noise-cancelling technology, but also materials that last a long time and the design should be well thought out.
