Love-hate relationship breaks up in 2 years

Quite comfortable and the noise reduction is very good. In fact, I think they sound pretty good overall (although not better, according to my audiophile friends). So good that I use them. A lot of. Unfortunately, I am now wearing my third pair in four years. After about two years, the cables start fraying at all important connection points like clockwork (see attached picture). Practically after the warranty has expired. I'm not sure if this is bad design or intentional obsolescence. They offer

WILL NOT LAST MORE THAN 2 YEARS

Add me to the stats. You will see many of them here. After 2 years, an intermittent hum or hum like feedback appeared in the left earphone. Only when ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) is enabled. But that's what the premium price is for. Prior to this edition they worked great but like many others I expect more durability at this price point. I really liked these headphones. Rarely left his desk. I read that Bose offers an exchange at a lower price, but not low enough. I can understand that due…

Life changes best with headphones

I didn't buy them for air travel or listening to music. I bought them out of desperation. I am a very light sleeper and sleep at odd hours. I also live in a noisy city (Chicago) and even in a noisy part of town. Chronic insomnia was driving me insane. Enter these little headphones. I hesitated to spend the money because I didn't think they could do what I needed. I need them to drown out the heavy construction noise on the floor above me. I need them to drown out the hellish roar of four days…

A must-have for insomniacs

You've completely changed my relationship with sleep. I have struggled with insomnia for most of my life - falling asleep slowly, waking up easily, constant thinking/worrying etc - but these little headphones have changed my life. I've tried countless earplugs but find that silence with them is "too loud" and most are extremely uncomfortable. Now I wear them almost every night along with the amazing Serenity app and my sleep has greatly improved. In terms of comfort, they are more comfortable…

Great headphones, confusing purchase (QC20 vs. QC20i)

These headphones are incredibly comfortable. I absolutely HATE regular headphones. You have to put them in your ear canal, they get soiled with earwax, and they're just not very comfortable to listen to for long periods of time. This is why I've been using regular Apple headphones for years as they fit my ears and are easier than crushing my head with large cans or stuffing my ear canals with rubber. comfortable headphones to wear around the office so I can block out background noise and get on

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • So far so good

Not completely noise canceling but does the job

I've been using these for a few months now and wanted to write a review as I argued for months before putting my money on it. Some of the reviews weren't promising and I was really worried I wasted money again on headphones that didn't deliver. I use them almost exclusively for travel. I fly a few times a week and have used Bose on-ear headphones for many years, but they tend to be too bulky and difficult to sleep on. I really liked them but let me explain what they do and don't do. Unlike…

Design issues to fix and faulty noise cancellation

I ordered these headphones to minimize office noise and used them to connect to my desktop computer system. The noise-cancelling worked fairly well for the first week, and the office chatter around me was reduced by about 50 percent. In the second week of use, I heard a click when turning on the noise canceling, but it seemed to me that the noise didn't go away, but rather increased a little. The design of the headphones themselves and the cables could use some improvement. I've noticed a few…
