Not completely noise canceling but does the job

I've been using these for a few months now and wanted to write a review as I argued for months before putting my money on it. Some of the reviews weren't promising and I was really worried I wasted money again on headphones that didn't deliver. I use them almost exclusively for travel. I fly a few times a week and have used Bose on-ear headphones for many years, but they tend to be too bulky and difficult to sleep on. I really liked them but let me explain what they do and don't do. Unlike over-ear headphones, they don't block out all outside noise. Even with the noise-cancellation turned on, you can still hear someone speaking if they're near you, and you can still hear announcements in the cabin, although depending on the volume, you might have to turn the noise-cancellation off to understand them. . I'm okay with that because that's not the kind of noise I'm trying to get rid of. What these headphones are good at is blocking out background noise like airplane engines. They also improve the clarity of the music or movies you're watching, which reduces, though not completely, external background noise like crying babies or just general noise from people talking. It's never enough for me to annoy or stop me from listening to my film. They are very comfortable to wear, you can sleep in them without any problems. I love that you can turn off the noise canceling feature and keep using the headphones. This saves battery life when not in use. (The in-ear headphones stopped working when the battery died.) They're also rechargeable, and I didn't charge for a couple of weeks. Just keep in mind that I only use them a couple of times a week. Another tip that might help with the purchase. At first I thought they didn't work very well, but I tried the next size up earbuds (they come in three sizes) and when I went up to a larger size that I thought was too big, it improved 100% noise canceling function.
