This is the crimping tool I should have bought. I used to buy a Klein branded product as it was recommended instead of Ticonn branded pliers. This crimping tool not only crimps shrink connectors, but also correctly crimps plain insulated connectors. Specifically, I crimped 16-18 AWG wires with "red" terminals. Klein's crimping tool failed to crimp either type of connector, and both easily came loose from the wires. In addition, the compression of shrink sleeves led to damage (fracture) of the insulation. The Haisstronica crimping machine produced perfect crimps on both insulated and shrink connections on my 16-18 AWG wire. The heat shrink material was not damaged and the wire was pulled out before shrinking and passed the test.
