Review on Stainless Steel Reusable K Cups for Keurig 1.0 & 2.0 Brewers – Eco-Friendly Coffee Pods (Pack of 4) by Genene Locson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

As a former barista and coffee lover, I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I don't think it's worth talking too much about the reusable coffee filter set review. I stopped buying capsules to reduce unnecessary waste and be eco-friendly. I bought them because honestly they are cheap. After my first use, they certainly do the job of storing coffee grounds and brewing them in a Keurig machine, but the coffee is so watered down that it's not worth it, especially if you're buying quality coffee. I've been a barista for over two years. I know a thing or two about brewing and the downside of these things is that the water gets pushed in and starts out strong, but then the ground coffee gets pushed to the edge of the filter and you end up with mostly coffee flavor residue. for the last half of the brewing process. Take a look inside the filter when it's done and you'll see what I mean. It's not like real pods that force water through the entire cup. Unfortunately, it seems like you're stuck on using capsules to get the best flavor out of your coffee. I've switched back to the French Press and am enjoying it a lot more. I'm not upset that I gave them a chance, but they just don't do what they're supposed to do to be a worthy replacement for plastic K-cups. Just wanted to warn those who love strong coffee that this is NOT for you. A NOTICE. I have used these filters in a commercial Keurig machine as well as my own Keurig at home and the results have been exactly the same.
