Review on AEM 22 454P Polished Intake System by Brett Gilbert

Overall I wasn't very impressed with the AEM Short Ram Air Intake. First, let's start with the missing parts. I had to run to my local auto parts store to get the correct bolts to mount the MAF sensor. Then I encountered the problem of a clamp that was too small for my single air line. After fixing all AEM issues I thought. I ran into a bigger problem. My hood didn't close. The mounting bracket was too long to raise the air intake above the hood. So I had to find a way to hold it in place. Not to mention I was given instructions regarding my 02 Mercury Puma and those instructions say nothing at all about buying your own bolts or clamps or modifying this product in any way. The only real benefit of this outfit is that it looks good in the engine bay and sounds a little angrier. I would not recommend this unless you want to customize it to fit your vehicle.
