Review on πŸ•―οΈ AGLARY DIY Soy Candle Making Kit: Complete Supplies for Women and Beginners - Melting Pitcher, Dye Blocks, Wicks by Dawn Fischer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use. The description says "for women " but will suit anyone.

First some general info: If you want to make shaped candles, use paraffin wax. This soy wax is too fragile to make freestanding figures, but is great for making canned candles, jars, etc. This kit is used to make canned soy candles and small plastic cups. an hour to turn all the ingredients into candles. The melting pitcher and a small pot became a steam cooker. The preliminary work consisted of arranging glasses and small plastic cups with wicks on a silicone mat. It lacked those wick centering tools to simultaneously make small plastic cups and glasses, but some paperclips were easily bent to do this. I used magnets to hold the metal bases of the wicks in the plastic cups after using the glue dots in the jars. After that it was just melting, pouring and waiting. Using all of the dye of one color in 8 ounces of wax really deeply colors the wax. After all the jars were filled and cooled, a fair amount of wax remained. This wax will shrink slightly in the container as it hardens. Therefore, when making candles of different colors, it is best to make all the candles of the same color at the same time and leave the excess colored wax in the crucible. You can refill the candles after they have cooled down. If I had to do it all over again, I'd kinda smell the candles. Although it smells very faint. Strongly scented candles give me a headache.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
