Difficult to lay flat due to tight twist. The material is cheap, which is what I expected. Velcro is very weak. The dashboard should be clear of any protective equipment such as a bowl, if you get a stick at all. I used almost all of the velcro and I don't think they stuck to my dash. I used soap and water to clean the dash, I'll probably need rubbing alcohol or something. The fit is almost perfect for my 2011 Sierra 1500.
