Need a camera to monitor part of the house, garage or pets? Do you have a point of sale nearby? Then this camera is great. It's not the highest resolution, but 1080P is very clear and does a good job at night vision, although there's not much IR. It has a decent amount of twists and turns to be able to control a fairly wide range. The setting was a bit whimsical. First, connect your phone to the camera's WiFi. Then set the camera to discover your home WiFi router by entering the 2.4GHz password. When this is complete, you're pretty much on your way. If not, you'll have to repeat this step a few times, which happened to me. At first I wasn't entirely sure about the installation process as it didn't complete the setup. Another annoyance is that it says your microsd device is unusable. You'll need to use the Tapo app to format the SD card after setting up the phone and camera app and you should be fine. The phone app allows you to take pictures, record and stop recording. What I don't know yet is a scheduled recording or a recording when you press the record button while watching TV? I have to check but you have a scheduler like most CCTV cameras with a regular recording schedule and a movement schedule. It comes with a bracket for mounting on the wall or elsewhere. I just keep it on my desk so I can point it to where my dog sleeps. You can pan it and the 1080p image is sharp in daylight and infrared at night. If the setup worked a little better I would give it 5 stars because the price is great. So if you want a small camera that you can just place anywhere in the house within range of your 2.4GHz router, this works and was relatively easy to set up. 4 stars so far but the price is 5 stars.
