I have this for both of my subwoofers that I ordered. Since I couldn't easily run two battery cables (well, maybe, but it didn't seem like much to me, plus lots of room). So I used a 4 gauge which was perfect for the amount of power I needed. This helped separate it just before the amps. I would recommend having a pair size allen wrenches to tighten it. It would have stayed in place. It did its job, holding tight to the power cords and passing power with no problem.
