If you need to anchor Thetford Porta Potti to the floor (and wonder why you wouldn't) then this is a must have. It is screwed into the ground or some kind of foundation. The potty then snaps into place and unlocks with a light push. I used this base in my home built remodeled van. There is almost no other way to keep Thedford Porta Potti safe without this base.
