I installed it on the underside of a bike that I ride every day, even in winter when it's below zero. When it was almost frozen I turned it on for the night. From time to time I checked with a heat gun - hundreds (F), normal. Then, maybe two weeks later, I tugged lightly on the cable to move it out of the way for an oil change and it came loose. The solder joints at the end of the block have come loose. When I say easy, I mean easy. This thing didn't depend on anything. I'm surprised the fuse didn't blow in my house.
