After struggling to keep the live plants in my aquarium, I gave up after one of these live plants introduced black beard algae into my aquarium. After months of trying to fight it, I gave up, threw away all my decor and decided to start over with plastic plants. I like the look of live plants so I really like how these plants move with the flow of water. It definitely gives them a more natural look. The plants are mostly mild and not harmful to the fish, but there are a few smaller orange colored plants that I would not put in an aquarium with fish with long or smooth fins (bettas, angelfish, etc.). ) as I could see them snagging and tearing easily. The largest plant hides my filter well. I have a 40 gallon grower so there were plenty of small plants to fill the front areas but I will be ordering larger ones to hide the rest of the gear in the back.
