This is a very nice good quality wooden dog gate. It is quite heavy and can stand freely without being attached to the wall. It comes with two leg supports to give it extra stability. It even has a swinging door so you can walk through if you need to. They also come fully assembled so you don't need any prep work when they get to your home. I really like this goal and I want it to work for me. I have a 10 year old pug (20 lbs) with separation anxiety. I needed this dog guard to lock him up in my kitchen and he couldn't escape. From my current configuration, my dog was able to slide the gate and escape from the side. If your dog has separation anxiety, this may not be the best option for you. Before you buy, be aware that your dog will need extra training to keep them from pushing against the gate. In addition, since the gate is not attached to the wall and has no additional fixtures for it, your dog can easily move it if you place it on a slippery surface. Overall this is a great product and if your dog is freezing then this dog collar will do. However, if your dog doesn't like being away from you, you may need to explore other options or get creative.
