Review on πŸ”’ Electric Alarm Lock Transfer Module by Jerardo Phi

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible instructions

I had to go through the Data Communications Module 3 (DTM) configuration instructions several times to try to not only load lock data from a DL4 windows program for the DTM (no problem with them), but also so that I can get the DTM to load the data into the lock (no luck for them). DO NOT waste time calling Alarm Lock - they know nothing about support for THEIR own products and will put you through to your local sales representative. Three weeks later I'm still trying to load the DTM into the lock! I've read the manual several times (at least 5 times) and factory reset the lock (at least 3 times) and still no luck (reminder. Not only the manual sucks but the tech support sucks). also tried to download lock data via DTM and PC. None of them work! Pros - * If it worked it might be good for a door lock/reader or two. Cons - * The user manual sucks - there is a helpful instruction and a few pages later after going through various bs there is another useful info. Please note that the information between points A and B refer to completely different things. After analyzing it and writing a "how to do it" flowchart, I still can't get it to program the lock? * Buttons/body on DTM are cheap. You have to hold them "just right" for them to make contact. * Our local sales representative/technical support representative did not return our calls. * More than a few doors and you will spend all your time changing and updating users/maps.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Some errors
