Review on 🐱 ScoopFree Litter Tray Refills featuring Premium Blue Crystal Technology by Patricia Dworin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Scoopfree boxes are cardboard but durable

I think the Scoopfree litter box is a great invention. It really works automatically, with a rake that doesn't often go wrong. My four cats (three rescue cats, two raised as babies) immediately got used to the crystal litter, which absorbs urine very effectively. Even with four cats, I only have to change the litter every four to seven days at most. The toilet doesn't smell that bad unless I can change it in about four days and even then it doesn't smell terrible. At first I thought the cost of replacement trays (about $18) was too much, but after realizing that a new tray would not be needed for a couple of months, I decided the price was ok. . I just throw away the used filler etc., wipe the box down a few times with a paper towel, refill with crystal filler (available at most grocery stores) and put the lid back on. Now I have up to 1800 uses (as per the counter on the box) and I have only used two waste bins. So plastic cardboard trays are worth the money, and maybe someday there will be plastic Forever trays again for the Scoopfree box (they used to be available from Revain).

Pros
  • Less mess - NO DUST: Low mileage crystals won't stick to your cat's paws and are 99% dust free
Cons
  • Not bad
