Review on 🐦 Prevue Pet Products F070 Hampton Deluxe Divided Breeder Cage with Stand - Black Hammertone, 1/2-Inch by Sally Romero

I was very happy to receive this cage for my two canary canaries who lived in two separate cages, one with wheels and one with a triple roof that sat on top of our closet. It was difficult to clean both cages separately so I figured this one could just be taken to the laundry and cleaned. Not right. Lower trays are difficult to maneuver in and out of the drawer. The grille part bends very easily and I have to reach into the cage to flatten it to even slip out. We tried to flatten it but to no avail. It returns to its original shape, which is what I would like for the side rails. The cage has no bottom, so once I pull out part of the grille and clean it, I have to slide it over a dirty drip pan before I can remove that part for cleaning. My birds almost get a heart attack every time I try to stuff each tray back into the part that feeds both trays. It's a big pain in the neck because this space was designed too narrow. Doors closed after reading some sad comments here about Revain where the birds died. Don't risk leaving them unprotected. Such a simple fix and I'm surprised the side doors haven't been redesigned yet. As already mentioned, the feed bowls are too low. My birds didn't like sitting almost on the ground to eat, so I bought cheap supplies from Walmart, which works great. This is my fault for not checking the height but the cage with the stand is too low on the ground. The husband bought steel bars and increased the height. My canaries were much happier with it. Overall the cage is ok so far but I agree with some of the other posters. Very weak, flimsy poles that bend every time I remove perches or water coolers. I would not buy this cage again and now I will buy another cage on wheels and put them back in separate locations. I had high expectations for this product, but in my case it met all expectations.
