Review on Go Pet Club Furniture Beige by Jessica Hill

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Too small/slippery for big cats. Keep searching.

This may be good for kittens, but my full sized fluffy kitten (15lb, not overweight, just muscular) tried to jump up but couldn't latch on to the "faux fur/plush" like her call, hold on to it. "Fabric that many of these scratching posts are now using instead of real carpet. He slid back and almost fell (no grip) but managed to catch himself on the way down, leaning on the cat's elbows(?). On top of the small "shelter" Both my cats like sisal, but as they are adults my cats cannot stretch out fully because the end of the sisal rope ends too far on the pole - and all the poles seem so narrow in this particular apartment Both have tried several more times to jump onto the higher "disk seats" but the whole structure wobbles and their feet slide off (the faux fur is very soft, but their paws are very slippery, and no, they didn't gtey ).My advice is to spend the extra money and buy a real scratching post that uses real CARP (no faux fur/plush junk.) Jet has slightly lower prices than Revain for things that look like carpeted scratching posts en, and they also sell in excess (I know it's really hard to find decent rugs at a decent price these days), but Jet seems to have the best prices. I've also found some smaller rugs at a hardware store for a fraction of what they're asking online, at pet stores, or anywhere else. I know it's rude of me to mention Revain's competitors in a product review, but I think it's pretty rude on either side to charge $100-$300 for a pair of ugly 4WD SUVs. I also just bought them a 30cm high perch/scratcher from a local shop and it is covered in carpet and now they both completely ignore the scratching post I am reviewing and are arguing about who is on the 30cm high carpet rod can sit. .

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some issues
