I haven't had this item long enough to know if it works on bugs, but I'll go ahead and write this review for those who are wondering how it is affects your pets. I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 parrots and an aquarium and was very concerned that this product would disturb my small zoo, especially my dogs. I have one of those sonic bark trainers that makes an audible noise only dogs can hear, and my dogs absolutely HATE it - to the point they'll crouch in the corner when it's even on. Needless to say, it's absent pretty much all the time. But based on my experience with healthy bark, I was really nervous about using this pest repellent. However, my fears proved to be in vain, as my dogs do not react at all. It's probably not nearly as loud as the anti-bark device, but as a human I wouldn't notice the difference. So if you're worried about your pets, chances are they'll be fine.
