Review on Luukmonde Electric Kettle 1500W - Fast Boiling Glass Tea Kettle 1.7L with LED Light, Auto Shut-off & Boil-dry Protection: Cordless Water Boiler with Fully Metal Lid, BPA Free+ by Christa Baldwin

I bought this in July because it was advertised as 'stainless' and I liked the design. Apparently there are some plastic parts in the lid as it gave off strong chemical smells which dissipated after a few weeks of use (so far so good). Unlike the one I've had before, this one didn't switch off when getting up from the base - a potential safety issue if the kettle returns to the base with insufficient water. Then, just a month later, the floor couldn't take it, and the kettle periodically refused to turn on. and then he died. Since it's been over a month since I bought it, it couldn't be returned, so I had to throw it away and write a review. Then the seller issued a full refund - apparently after reading my review - as they didn't have to return my money, but they did anyway - thanks! But I think next time I will choose another brand.
