After spending most of the day climbing a 17 foot stair that wrapped around my palm and dangled from the top step to cover all 23 feet of the tree, switched I turned on these lights and was greeted with a bright light going straight up. I plugged it back in the next night and it was a nice bright light again, perfect for that late night fiesta. I was sure that they were good lamps. I was surprised when I plugged them back in a few days later and they stopped working. Looking at the wire it appears to be intact. They just stopped working. Changing the settings did nothing. It wasn't until a few days later, on a pitch-black, moonless night, when I was inches from the tree, that I realized the lights were putting out the faintest light. maybe 1% brighter than a regular light cord (or 1% brighter than day one and day two). If I took a few steps back, each of the lights was again too dim to see even the slightest amount of light. Who knows. Maybe something is wrong with the regulator or fuses that control the power supply. It hasn't rained here since I installed them, so I know the weather may not have been the cause of the problem.
