Not quite OEM perfect and died after 3 months 1 star

Update Bought 13th August, the first key fob died completely. received 3 months. It's been trying to die for a while, intermittently not unlocking/locking/remote starting, and the range has decreased significantly. To update. Less than 3 hours after posting this review, I discovered another issue. If you use a workaround for a remote start problem, you will not be able to open your doors unless you first press the lock button and then the unlock button. A perfect example of why what you get cheap isn't always the best solution. I bought a used 2016 Buick Encore that doesn't have a remote control. The dealer didn't replace "as it is with a used car" so we carried on. If I had key rings they would cut the key. On the factory remote, press the lock button, then immediately press and hold the arrow for a few seconds and start the engine. At this point you still need to press and release the lock button, but then you need to hold the trunk release button for a few seconds. The locking and unlocking function is the same as the panic button. I bought two of these and they were programmed and keyed by a Buick dealer. Since the pairing mode takes place in the car and not in the car, this was not the dealer's fault. Keep in mind that I think this is a lot compared to a retailer charging $90 for a key fob before it is cut and programmed.
