Not a bad product, but you can do better.
I installed it on the NEX-7 (firmware is new 1.01, where the image quality for wide-angle lenses has been improved). I was surprised: a wider viewing angle compared to the NEX-6 and a large barrel-shaped distortion, which the NEX-7 more or less successfully corrects in jpeg. Disappointing: darkening in the corners at the minimum focal length. I hope the Japanese engineers will not delay fixing this flaw and will release a new firmware for the seven, although . (they were in no hurry with the first ate on the NEX-7).

- the aperture is not so hot, when installed on the NEX-7 it does not work correctly at a wide angle
