There is an old app on this device that seems to work fine, BUT IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ALEXA! There's also a new app on this device that claims to be compatible with Alexa, but this new app won't work unless you give it permissions that you don't have rights to. j. The new application needs access to the IMEI of your phones for "identification". People who sell phones don't publish IMEI for some reason, it's very dangerous. You can clone your phone. The new app requires permission on your file system (okay, I think a lot of bad apps do that. Most good ones don't. The Alexa app doesn't, the Bond app doesn't. I'm sure these guys don't have a good one either reason) New app steals all your contacts without any reason. By agreeing to this, you also share the data of all your friends. The new app needs access to the camera/microphone, otherwise it won't work. WHY? They say it's for scanning a QR code, but my only device from this company doesn't even have a QR code at the bottom, and I set it up just fine in the old app without it. It is our collective responsibility as a society not to accept such requests and to return the product. Please, please, for the future of our children. You MUST uninstall the Broadlink Smart Home Hub app and get that nasty spyware back.
