Good for students in Digital Voice Recorder

I needed a recorder for my class and it was cheap and could be delivered to me in 2 days. What I don't like is that turning it off with the switch on the right resets the time/date; However, I've found that to turn it off, you just have to go to settings and search for 'sleep'. I put it on for 10 minutes and you can just turn it back on when you're ready. The battery lasts a long time for me too. I do weekly 1 hour appointments that I book into it (sometimes I use it up to 3 times a week) and my battery isn't dead yet. As for the records themselves, they're fine. I had to use it outside on a windy day and you can hear the wind but overall it's serviceable. I simply filter my recordings with a program that decodes them and minimizes background noise and wind. You can still get them here, but it's not overwhelming. I love this little device, although I wish I could just plug it directly into my computer with USB instead of a cable (sometimes a cable just doesn't feel right). Overall a good product and useful for students taking notes during meetings or in class. I aspire to eventually find a better recorder, but that's good enough for now (sometime between 1-6 years or when this thing dies). Also, you have to wait about 15 seconds to start recording, but it helps if you have to put it down and steady it so you don't make noise. It's a little strange at first, but it doesn't bother me.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Hard to say
