Review on 200 CT Blonde Bobby Pins For Buns With Cute Case - 2.16 Inches Hair Pins For Kids, Girls And Women - Premium Quality For All Hair Types by Sally Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I've upgraded my stars to 3.5.

These bobby pins are not the blonde bobby pins I'm used to working with. They are bright and shiny gold. I worked in the hair business for over 17 years, and I've never seen or felt bobby pins like these. The traditional blonde bobbie pin has a flat side, is more matte in color and the tips are very smooth and rounded and they lay nice and flat to the head. These are very light, more rounded and smooth, will stand out in anyone's hair color, and look a bit cheap. Though they do tend to go into the hair and stay ok, the tips are not all nice and smooth. Some have little burr spots that may catch on or damage the hair. These would be for good to use in your hair around the house (or out, if you like the bright gold accent), or for a little girl's hair, or for her to play with.ALSO, after some thought, these would be great for doing certain wedding hair styles, where you put pearl accents on the ends and hide the pin, or need to hold the hair in place, but keep the hair pins hidden. This would only work for very, very golden blonde hair, or when you are adding gold accents to the style along with pearls or other accessories that cover most of the pin. Unless, you want a really shiny, semi cheap looking pin as stand out pieces.I would never wear these in my hair to go out in public, as I do with other blonde bobbie pins. I like them to blend in with my hair, as much as possible, while holding down flyaways when I wear my hair in a ponytail. But, they are far too shiny and way too gold looking for me.I would recommend them for uses as described above, but not for everyday out the door stealthy wear.
