Well if I could find pants my length I might be happier. However, this little car saved the day. My household sewing machine suddenly stopped working. I don't know where to get it for repair, I didn't want to spend more than $100 to buy a new one. I look to Revane to see what I can find and here we are. My skills stop at straight edges. That's really all I have to do. When I saw this car I was skeptical. I read other reviews, weighed them, and then rolled the $20 dice. WINNER!. This machine is very small, simple and easy to use if you watch the YouTube video. I spent 10-15 minutes getting to know the car and BAM! 2 trousers hemmed. I used a DC plug and a foot pedal. The foot pedal controls the machine like a large sewing machine, the machine does not work until you press the foot pedal. I didn't use an AC power adapter, so I can't comment on that. This car corresponds to the description. Basic and for beginners. For me it was easier to use than my other machine. It has two speeds, I worked at a slow speed and did a hem on the first round. Seams present. This isn't a reverse seam, so I just turned the cuffs in the opposite direction once or twice to finish the hem. I thought about hand sewing before buying it, but it takes longer and looks like crap. This machine is by no means "high". But this is very high quality in terms of value for money. I believe that if I stick to the machine's limits and treat it with care, it will last a while. Finding things like that is really wonderful. The car was cheap and paid for itself in two pairs of pants. There is a lot more you can do with this machine depending on your skill level.
