I think they may have gone a little overboard to promote the amazing absorbency of this product. Doesn't absorb any better than a regular towel. However, what makes this product better than a full size towel is its size and lightness. It's thinner than my towels but absorbs just as much and the button keeps it secure on my head. Carrying a full size towel is annoying, gets hot and sometimes just falls off. These little blow dry towels are perfect. I can put a shirt on him. This is not possible with a normal towel. I got one for my 21 year old son who has long curly hair. He likes it too.
