I was a bit skeptical, but I liked the look and the price was good. I painted and varnished it as it will be in our solarium and I wanted it to look nice. First, all the wood exceeded all my expectations. Smooth and beautiful. I'm not very mechanical so I wanted to wait for my husband to assemble it. However, I thought I'd give it a try and had no problems. They must have improved the directions, drill holes, etc. Unfortunately, my embroidery sheets are larger than for this frame. It will indeed be around 18-18 1/2 inches wide. So I try it with a smaller canvas. I put a piece of Kruel on it, but it's hard to make fun of. (That's why I only give 4 stars). I haven't flashed it yet though, so it might get easier with use. BTW, don't plan on folding a wider piece - I've tried and couldn't come close to mocking. In general I am satisfied.
