As an on-call motorcycle tire changer, I have used many different types of tire changers over the years to remove/install tires and repair flats on everything from a '90 Honda Trail to a Harley Big Twin. . I've used 16" Motion Pro mounts (MP part number 08-0007) in the past and loved the benefits of the Motion Pro mounts, but hated the rough black oxide finish that rusted instantly and didn't slip easily . Rim/Tire Surfaces. However, these spoons are amazing in comparison! The hard chrome finish glides easily over the rim and tire bead (remember to use the plastic rim protectors to avoid scratches and dents when you're taking care of things like that) and the large ergonomic rubber grips are comfortable on hands and wrists and make it easy to reach that last lever. . Davidson Road Glide with wire spoke wheels. Among motorcycle tires, this is the heaviest/fattest tire you can work with. I can easily remove the old front tire and mount the new one with no problem. Right after that I had a flat tire and had to replace the tube in a 21" Pirelli MT43 trials tire on the front of my 1966 Bultaco Sherpa T trials bike. There were no problems here either. Now they are in my tool box forever. Time will tell but they appear to be well made tools and I would highly recommend them if you are looking to do any motorcycle tire work.
