I used this item to control three laptops running different versions of Linux with a Logitech marble mouse and a backlit Visio keyboard. How does it work, your output device, e.g. e.g. mouse and/or keyboard? maybe a flash drive or camera. It uses a standard USB cable and connector. They connect to the "output side" of the switch using the standard USB cables that come with the box, as expected. Computers are connected using the cables that come with the switch and look like standard USB printer cables. Use the end of the printer port cable on the switch and connect the other end of the cable(s) to the computer(s) you want to control. A push button switch on the device switches between the individual control connections in an intuitive manner. The fourth port is not currently used, but I see no reason why it couldn't be used in conjunction with the appropriate USB devices to control all three computers simultaneously, for example to log in at the same time when all computers have the same username and Password. , or maybe by issuing the same command to use DNF to update all machines at once. or I think I could hook up another computer and expand my semi-circle to four. Switching between computers is effortless, although there may be a slight delay depending on the processing speed of the individual machine being accessed. All in all I don't see how it can be improved. Well done gentlemen! but I don't see any reason why it couldn't be used in conjunction with the appropriate USB devices to control all three computers at the same time, er: login at the same time if all computers have the same username and password, or type might run the same command to update all computers at once using DNF. or I think I could hook up another computer and expand my semi-circle to four.
