Good USB switch but the indicator lights are not visible.

I bought this to switch USB headset between two computers and NVidia Shield. For this purpose it works fine. My biggest complaint is the same as many others: the LED lights that are supposed to tell you which computer is selected are so dim they're almost non-existent. The world of ultra bright LEDs used the smallest and most dimmable LEDs available. Worse, they're recessed beneath the surface of the case, so you can't see them unless you're looking directly at them. If it's on your desk and…

dim light. Cannot see which computer is active.

I just received a replacement device that is no longer working. My first impression is not God. The lights that indicate which computer (port) is active are VERY dim, so I can't figure out which one is on. I have to move the mouse to find out, and I only find out when the computer monitor is on. I have to look perpendicularly (from above) at the device to notice the active port light. I have to get up to see it. The other thing, which is also not good, is that the device isn't smart enough to…

  • Everything OK!

Device included, instructions, warranty information, a USB cable This device works great but you need four USB cables (Male A to Male B). This is a great opportunity to use up all those old long printer cables you have. I had a box full of old cables and it was great to finally find a use for them. Many of these devices use male-to-male USB cables and are very short. This made this device a good choice as older printers have very long USB cables (60 inches). It made my setup perfect for under…

The first impression is great!

Received the machine today. Even though it's USB 2.0 it doesn't bother me as I mostly use keyboard and mouse. I only needed this device to connect to three different computers so I didn't have to jump between different keyboards or mice. As it turns out, it works right away. No need for external power supply. Uses any power from the device it is connected to. The switch is pretty simple. Press the button to switch between different ports. As this is my first day with him, this is the first…

It only works with computer components

I used this article to control three laptops running different Linux versions with a Logitech marble mouse and a backlit Visio keyboard. How does it work, your output device, e.g. e.g. mouse and/or keyboard? maybe a flash drive or camera. It uses a standard USB cable and connector. As expected, they connect to the "out" side of the switch using the standard USB cables that come with the box. Computers are connected using the cables that come with the switch and look like standard USB printer…

Works well but a bit annoying due to case design

After a couple of weeks the switch is working very well, switching printer, keyboard and webcam between three different computers. The only thing that bothers me is the poor ergonomics: the LEDs that indicate the active computer system are located at the bottom in tiny holes in the top of the case and aren't easy to see unless you're looking almost straight down you. Computer #3 is installed in all three attached photos. The first shows what the switch looks like from where I'm sitting - it's…
