You need more wire.
Very easy to follow instructions. The only problem was getting the cable from the converter to the battery (power source). In fact, all the wires are quite short. This was not clear from the original description. I'm a bit savvy with cables and was able to plug the power into an outlet in the cargo hold. after connecting everything worked fine.
