Over the years we have had problems with various appliances in our home burning out from lightning strikes or other power surges. I've tried various surge protectors with sporadic success. And we have some devices that I can't just plug into a surge protector like B. our fridge and oven. So now one block protects all (assuming it works). I installed it and we only survived one storm. Not a single device burned out, but that's hardly a good test. So for now all I can say is that the installation was easy and straightforward.
