Review on 🐾 White Hoover PowerDash Pet Wet Dry Vacuum, FH41000 - Hard Floor Cleaner Machine by Amy Fuhrman

useful if you mop a lot

I'll start similar to my review of the previous model: this is not a vacuum cleaner. Soaks up water. It will not clean deposits that do not dissolve in this water. If you like to vacuum your floor quickly and only mop it during "spring cleaning" or other occasions, then you see these types of electric mops as an unnecessary extra step rather than useful. If you do a lot of mopping or want to clean better than a regular vacuum and hand mops, they can be a great extra cleaning tool. If you're looking to completely replace your vacuum and mop, you'll need something much more expensive that can do both. Second: REMOVE THE BOX! I was not able to do that with either vacuum cleaner model, despite the sticker on this one. I checked the brushes where the cardboard used to be and didn't see any. It turns out that this model is the suction cover. If someone says their new vacuum won't pick up water, they've probably neglected to remove the cardboard blocking the suction. We have 4 large, heavy dogs, one of which is old enough to hardly go outside and a younger one decides to copy the adult dog. We also have a couple of caged chinchillas who like to throw bed dust, droppings and food out of their cage. Our house is built entirely of wood or vinyl from the 19th century. We started with a vacuum cleaner neighbor. It was amazing compared to lugging around a mop and bucket. Often 2 buckets so I don't have to mess up the clean water and end up changing the same amount. We're probably saving a cleaner in a year or two by using these mops/vacuums versus buckets full of water like the cost of vacuums. Unfortunately, the roommate's engine quickly died (probably dog hair death) and shipping cost about the same as buying new. So we bought a little shear wave. The cross shaft has advantages and disadvantages compared to vacuum cleaner variants. I ended up finding bissell to be great for a quick and easy clean, but mostly useless for a deep clean on our aged hardwood floors. We finally had some extra cash to buy a new flatmate and we saw it being discontinued for this model. The dashboard is very similar to a neighbor on the floor. It seems less prone to clogging with pet hair. It has a much stronger suction power than shear waves. This can be due to both the construction and the engine. The Powerdash has a narrow strip in front of the brushes into which it sucks water with a rubber/plastic squeegee edge. The Bissell Crosswave has a roller brush and sucks water through the entire structure without a lower leading edge. On a very flat ground, you'll feel the drag of the dashboard sticking to the ground. The bisselle shear shaft effortlessly picks up dog hair and even large pieces of dog food or other small dirt. The Powerdash just pushes dirt in front of it and will quickly become clogged with things like pet hair if it's not cleaned after almost every use. However, a shear wave is more of a light floor wash that removes some of the surface dirt and obvious clutter. It also doesn't dispense enough liquid for dry or larger messes, so we need to have a sprayer on hand to apply additional floor cleaner. The Powerdash handles cracks, bumps and dirt much better than the Bissell, leaving less water behind despite squeezing out more water. Brushes clean the floor much better than a roller. But first you need to vacuum the floor of any visible buildup of dirt, dust balls, spilled pet food, cat litter, etc. I wouldn't trust any brand to fully clean grouted tile, but the PowerDash handles uneven surfaces much better. to facilitate frequent mopping and collect more dirt or allergens. None of these mop vacuums are a quick way to clean an entire room. They need to be pressed slowly to allow time for a full erase. They quickly remove small liquid contaminants and suck up a significant amount of liquid in a matter of seconds.
