We bought this so we don't have to refill water for our dog. So far it has worked flawlessly. A few weeks ago it got cold enough to need a heater. It took about twenty minutes to install and tape everything up. The temperature had reached puberty and the water was still not flowing. *UPDATE* We had temperatures close to zero and the water was freezing. This didn't damage the bowl, but apparently it won't withstand very low temperatures. As soon as the temperature rose again, we removed the ice and it started working normally again. Too bad it prevented freezing at a lower temperature.
