Review on πŸ’» Cable Matters Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station with Dual DisplayPort, 60W Charging for Windows and Mac - Compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C, Aluminum Design by Ronald Noel

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Gets very hot and does not provide enough power to run the monitors.

This dock is not suitable as a docking station. It has such strong audio interference that you can hear static noise when you move the mouse over the speakers. The video output must also be done with a signal amplifier. It was a huge waste of money. I'll try to get it back but I've only been using it for a little over a month so I'm probably stuck with this.

Pros
  • The USB-C dock is compatible with host devices that do not have a Thunderbolt 3 port; The USB-C dock supports two HD@60Hz displays on a Windows PC or one 4K@30Hz display on a Mac when connected via USB-C to a host that does not have a Thunderbolt 3 port; The Thunderbolt 3 Dock for Mac supports Mac laptops with Thunderbolt 3 ports
