Great article. Does what it should. No questions.

Item arrived as promised, brand new in packaging. No damage was seen or found. Setup was quick, easy and very easy. Used daily with no problems. It just works. I would recommend this item to other people and have done so. Used with a 13" MacBook Pro purchased in 2020.

Pros
  • USB-C dock compatible with host devices without Thunderbolt 3 port; The USB-C dock supports two HD@60Hz displays on a Windows PC or one 4K@30Hz display on a Mac when connected via USB-C to a host that does not have a Thunderbolt 3 port; Thunderbolt 3 Dock for Mac supports Mac laptops with Thunderbolt 3 ports
Cons
  • Good but not great

The perfect work-from-home dock for your 15-inch MacBook Pro

This is a durable Thunderbolt Dock. A laptop connection is located on the back of the device. I want to be able to quickly remove my laptop from my desk and also easily plug it back in. I also like that the headphone jack is on the front, along with a USB-A port. The Gigabit Ethernet connection works without any problems. Charging: My 15" MacBook Pro (2017) came with a 96W charger. I suppose you could use it to charge *faster*, but the dock's 60W output is more than enough for my work too home…

Pros
  • Thunderbolt 3 Dock brings out the full potential of your computer's Thunderbolt 3 port; Expand the workspace of your Windows PC or Mac with dual displays, USB devices, wired internet and audio. A Thunderbolt 3 Cable Laptop and Desktop Dock
Cons
  • Almost Never

Gets hot and doesn't provide enough power to run monitors

This dock is not intended to be used as a docking station. It has such strong audio interference that you can hear static noise when you move the mouse over the speakers. The video output must also be done with a signal amplifier. It was a huge waste of money. I'll try to get it back but I've only been using it for a little over a month so I'm probably stuck with this.

Pros
  • Dual monitor dock supports two 4K displays with refresh rates up to 60Hz; Connect two displays to the Thunderbolt Dual Monitor Dock via DisplayPort; Extend your desktop to multiple monitors, TVs, or projectors with a Thunderbolt hub
Cons
  • Doesn't bother me

Good Ole Cablematters - Runs Like Clockwork

Worked flawlessly with my MacOS and Windows systems. Pictured is a 2019 Macbook Pro in and out of clamshell mode with an Alienware AW2521HF + Samsung SJ55W and charging with the included Thunderbolt cable. Both monitors also work with my old ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX501 Windows laptop via the Thunderbolt port. Alienware can run at 240hz from the nVidia control panel - not sure if gsync works with the port, but can update the review if I ever try. There is a laptop limitation (no docking station)…

Pros
  • USB-C Hub with One USB-A Port and Two USB-C Ports with USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gb/s Speed and 7.5W Charging Power; Connect a flash drive or external hard drive to transfer files at speeds up to 10Gbps; Two additional USB 3.0 ports are ideal for a USB keyboard and mouse; Other connectivity options include a Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting to a wired network and a 3.5mm TRRS audio jack for headphones or a headset and microphone.
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
