If you're looking for a crystal clear lens for photos and videos here, don't read this review, I won't tell you here. If you're looking for something to grab and go, twist it onto the end of your favorite Fuji X body and point it at something, read on. Because the biggest plus of Gizmon is complete freedom of shooting. To be clear, there is a specific time and place for using this lens, but in those cases you will be hard pressed to find anything better at any price point. The fact that Utulens doesn't come close to breaking the bank makes it an even easier task. I used it in a video project recently, the theme was such that it was important for the outfit to get out of the way and the story to be told. Lots of quick shots in different locations meant a whole day just driving, so we didn't have much time to worry about the logistics once we got to the set. I wasn't expecting much from Gizmon to be honest, but I was shocked when I saw the raw footage on my Final Cut Pro X timeline, it had the exact look, feel, and vibe I wanted while preparing in had my head. Production. The setting was rural and urban rot, desolate and desolate places with dramatic music and dialogue. Utulens allowed footage to be used straight from the camera with very little editing (mostly just for length). Not much as an everyday driver. But if you're looking for something to bring back the fun of video and photography, if you want to reinterpret recurring themes, or if you just want to shoot without worrying about the technical details, this is for you. Just don't use it if you're looking for the most technically perfect results possible, or if you want your images to reflect 100% reality, because you'll be disappointed. If I lose it I will buy it again AND have a spare just in case. .
