Worked for about 5 months

The heater itself appears to be of good quality. No, it won't survive if your dog chews on it and in all honesty you shouldn't expect it. Train your dog properly and you will be fine. It uses the Celsius scale. So if you like getting annoyed with constant math calculations, you'll love this one. Otherwise it seems to hold the temperature quite well. The AC adapter that powered mine failed after about 5 months of use. I can't find a replacement so I'll look for a new gasket. Don't think I'll take the risk of ordering another one.
