tester works great. Read the instructions and calibrate accordingly and it worked great. I was really surprised that it works so well and is so easy to use. The battery that came with the kit was only enough to check just 4-5 bricks. Make sure you have a new battery handy. After installing a new battery there were no problems. Using a magnifying glass was difficult if not impossible. That was one of the reasons I chose this set. Another reason was the included battery. Since I didn't find any "added value" I only give it 4 stars. A tester alone will be 5.
